Color-Changing Lemon Drop

A standard lemon drop chills vodka in the shaker, with the lemon juice and simple syrup, but the Unicorn Lemonade displays the color-change of Unicorn Distillery’s vodka in the glass. Make sure your Unicorn Butterfly Pea Vodka is kept ice-cold and stir slowly to let the cocktail transform in front of your guest.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit Inspired by Lemonade

America’s entrepreneurial spirit is perhaps best displayed in the ongoing tradition of the summer lemonade stand.

Known today as a kid’s first startup, the first lemonade stand was also inspired by improving on a standard model. In the 1870s, a ten-year-old boy named Edward Bok sold ice water to travelers passing by. When other boys copied his idea and began taking his business, Edward started serving lemonade instead — and increased his price.

Store owners in NYC quickly latched onto the idea as well, although the business model soon came to rest with ambitious, entrepreneurial kids, rather than adults. And we raise our glasses to them as the next generation of unicorn founders.
