Vodka Margarita
The BEST Vodka Margarita
Can you make a margarita with vodka instead of tequila? Absolutely. It is a crisp, clean margarita and a little less sweet than the traditional. (If you love the sweetness that tequila adds to this cocktail, you can add a splash of more simple syrup.)
Ingredients:
- Vodka, 1½ oz
- Orange liqueur, 1 oz
- Lime juice, 1 oz
- Lime garnish
- Simple syrup, splash – optional
- Coarse salt – optional
Instructions:
For a salt-rimmed glass, pour a shallow layer of salt in a dish, squeeze a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, and dip the rim in salt. Add vodka, orange liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using) to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake until cold. Strain into glass. Garnish with lime.
