Vodka Tonic
Recipe (and Calorie Count) – Unicorn Vodka
A vodka and tonic is a classic cocktail made of one part vodka and two to four parts tonic water. It’s a cleaner version of the gin and tonic, which leans on the juniper flavor of gin to combat the naturally bitter taste of tonic water. Using vodka instead of gin lets the tonic water contrast against the tang of citrus.
The key to maximizing flavor with this drink is fresh lemons, high-quality tonic, and fresh, clean ice.
Ingredients
- Vodka, 1½ to 2 oz
- Tonic Water, 3 to 5 oz
- Fresh lime (or lemon), up to ½ oz
- Ice
Instructions
Fill a rocks or Collins glass with ice. Pour vodka and tonic water over ice. Squeeze lemon or lime over the top and garnish with a citrus wedge or wheel.
